The
objectives of the Air Training Corps are:-
|
|
To promote and encourage a practical interest
in aviation and the RAF. |
|
|
To provide training which will be useful both
in the services and in civilian life. |
|
|
To further the spirit of adventure and to develop
the qualities of leadership
and good citizenship. |
Our cadets become self-reliant and self-disciplined at an age when
they might be expected to need parents and teachers to tell them
what to do and how to behave.
What's expected of you the cadets?
We can provide the opportunities, you must have the pride and willingness
but above all the commitment to make your time with the squadron
a success.
The ATC is a uniformed youth organisation which is supported by
and is structured in a similar way to the RAF. The ATC is not a
recruiting organisation for the RAF, however, more than 70% of RAF
aircrew are former cadets.
