29th September 1942 all three 'Eagle' squadrons were transferred to the USAAF and thereafter flew as part of the 335th Pursuit Squadron over Europe.
This photograph shows former 'Eagle' squadrons pilots after returning from a raid over enemy territory in which they escorted B17 Fortresses.
