The Air Cadet Media Communications team from 121 (Nuneaton) Squadron scooped three First Place competition Awards during the Central & East Regional Field Day at Royal Air Force Wittering.
Against stiff opposition from Squadrons from all six Wings within the Region, the Nuneaton based Squadron won the Regional Media Communications coverage competition for the second year in succession. The Media coverage competition is based on the unit's participation in public events and media activity during the previous 12 month period.
121 Squadron's, Cadet Warrant Officer Robert Allan and Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks also won both the Cadet and Staff sections of the Media Communications Presentation competition with their Air Cadet Calendar designs.
The Squadrons keen photographers also managed some notable success in both the Cadet and Staff sections of the photographic competition with Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks taking 2nd place in the Staff section.
Flight Lieutenant Paul Hincks, Media Communications Officer for 121 ( Nuneaton ) Squadron said, “I am delighted that we have managed to win this years Regional Media Communications competitions. Our performance in this competition is attributable to everyone on the Squadron, not just those who write the articles and maintain the website. Successful PR is a good measure of the performance of an active Squadron which offers its cadets a wide range of activities and gets involved in local community events”.
