Cadets and staff from 121 Squadron donned their DP (disruptive pattern) uniform and cam cream as they conducted a Night Exercise at Gamecock Barracks near Nuneaton.
The Night Ex designed to test the leadership & fieldcraft skills of the cadets was split into two phases.
During the first phase the cadet teams had to conduct a covert reconnaissance of the enclosed exercise area and construct a scale model of the site using natural resources found within the surrounding area. Having constructed the model the team leaders had to use it in order to brief their teams in preparation for the second phase of the exercise which involved some rather interesting leadership scenarios all of which had to be completed without being detected by teams of cadets and staff who were tasked with preventing them from carrying out their mission.
Having completed the Night Ex, members of the Squadron's Civilian Committee were on hand to dish out hot soup and bread. A fitting end to what was a truly successful and enjoyable night for all involved.
