Local Air Cadets were out in force on the Hospice car park at Nuneaton's George Eliot Hospital for a charity car wash on Saturday 10 September.
The cadets wanted to wash as many dirty cars as possible in order to help raise funds for the Mary Ann Evans Hospice and also give their own funds a desperately needed boost.
The cadets had organised themselves into teams ready to spray, hand wash, rinse and dry every dirty car that entered the hospice car park. Unfortunately due to the appalling weather conditions they didn't get as many customers as they were hoping for. You could say that there wasn't any point in drying the cars. Never mind next time we do a car wash we must remember to book some good weather.

The Mary Ann Evans Hospice is an independent self-financing hospice,
which serves the people and communities of Nuneaton, Bedworth and
North Warwickshire. The Mary Ann Evans Hospice needs the help of
the community to enable it to continue to provide care for those
in need.
