On the 31st October the Asda superstore in Nuneaton closed it's
car parks
and hosted a Halloween fair and fireworks display in aid of the
2002 BBC
Children in Need appeal.
When at short notice the squadron band was asked to put on a display,
the
cadets jumped at the chance to take part. This was a fantastic opportunity
to put on a display for the public and have some fun, a real opportunity
to
let our hair down and join in with the Halloween party atmosphere.
Thanks
to ASDA we had a really good time and also managed to do our bit
for the
Children in Need appeal.
Asda first took an active part in the BBC Children in Need during
the 2001 Appeal when they raised over £600,000 through events
such as the Halloween fair and fireworks display hosted by the Nuneaton
store and the sale of special Pudsey items in their stores.
