Chris
Quinney who joined 121 Squadron as a cadet in September 1993 has
recently relinquished his position as a CWO (Cadet Warrant Officer).
But that's not the end of his career in the Air Cadet movement.
Chris having successfully completed the selection process has just
been commissioned as a Plt. Off. (Pilot Officer) in the training
branch of the RAFVR.
During his time as a cadet with 121 Squadron Chris took a full
and active part in the squadron activities rising through the ranks
to become a Staff Cadet and CWO. His successes on the ground both
academically and on the sports field (most notably within the Wing
rugby team) were matched by his achievements in the air when he
attained his RAF Flying Scholarship.
Unfortunately for 121 Squadron, Chris's successful promotion means
that like many other uniformed members of staff who have been trained
by 121 Squadron, he has been transferred to another unit within
the Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing.
All the Cadets and Staff of 121 Squadron would take this opportunity
to thank Chris for all the work he has put into the Squadron during
his many years of service with 121. We would also like to wish him
all the best as he starts his commissioned service with 2286 Squadron
in Coventry.
