Cadets from 121 Squadron recently visited the Atlantic Airlines base at Coventry airport. During the visit the cadets went on one of the seven Lockheed Electra aircraft operated by the airline. They also got the chance to get aboard a Russian Antonov An-72 aircraft which is currently being operated as part of the Atlantic Airlines fleet.
Atlantic Airlines operate regular services out of Coventry to many European destinations on behalf of contract cargo operators such as DHL, TNT, and the Post Office. They currently have seven Electras in operation, with an eighth being refurbished. They specialise in supporting other freight carriers and also undertake ad hoc cargo flights to locations all over the world.
