If you're musical or you would like to learn to play an instrument
you could join our band.
The 121(Nuneaton) Squadron Band was formed in the year 2000. At
the beginning of the year many of the bands members had never played
a musical instrument. Weeks of hard work and dedication by our young
musicians, was finally rewarded when they were presented with their
musicians badges. The band had its first public appearance at the
Mary Ann Evans Hospice garden party in the same year.
The band has achieved some notable success in competitions, in the year 2006 we came second in the ATC Regional competition for the third year in succession and in 2007 we managed to retain our title as best band in the Warwickshire and Birmingham Wing for the fifth year in succession. We also managed to retain the Nuneaton Carnival day band trophy for the third year running.
The band is regularly invited to participate in many charity and
ex-service organisation functions possibly the most prestigious
of which is being given the honour to lead the Remembrance Day parades
in Nuneaton.
